No funds were appropriated with the Minnesota Safe Place for Newborns
legislation. Therefore, we are working to raise funds to continue our
community education campaign. As you know, legislation without
education is ineffective. This life-saving program does little good if
those who would have need of it do not know if its existence.
Safe Place for Newborns would like to thank the people who have partnered
with us to continue this life-saving work. We have been the grateful
recipients of much generosity. We quite literally couldn't do it
without you!
Would you like to get involved through helping us with our fundraising
efforts? Here are a few ways you can do so:
- Matching gift program: Many companies have matching gift programs for
their employees - they match the donations their employees make to
charitable organizations. Does your company have a Matching Grant
program?
- Fundraisers: Civic, church, and neighborhood groups have had
fundraisers to benefit the work of Safe Place for Newborns. From garage
sales to beautiful dinners, we have been so touched by the hard work and
dedication people have shown to this work. How about you and a few
friends getting together to consider if you might want to hold a
fundraiser for Safe Place for Newborns?
- Grants: Are you aware of any Foundations to which
Safe Place for Newborns can apply for a grant? If so, would you
contact us with the name and address of the Foundation? If you know
the name of a contact for us at the Foundation, that would be great as
well.
- Donation: Would you like to join in the effort by making
a contribution to Safe Place for Newborns? If so, your donation can
be sent to: Safe Place for Newborns, 120 S 6th St., Suite 1150,
Minneapolis, MN 55402.
If you would like to tackle any of the above, we will be glad to work
with you, just contact
us and we'll do whatever we can do to help out!
